SUNY Adirondack is partnering with The Hyde Collection in Glens Falls to offer high school students and young adults an opportunity to learn about the future of arts-related careers.

The Creative Futures event, starting at 1 p.m. Jan. 20 at The Hyde, will focus on the arts as a viable career option for young people.

The program will be led by Troy-based illustrator Ira Marcks, local graphic designer and Sidekick Creative co-founder Will Fowler and SUNY Adirondack Associate Professor of Graphic Arts and Technology Division Chair Nick Paigo. Each speaker will provide a presentation and related arts activity to teach students about their creative career field.

Free with sponsorship from The Workforce Development Institute, the event is geared toward high school students and young adults, but the content is suitable for preteens and young teens.

To register, call 518.792.1761, ext. 310, or email adminassist@hydecollection.org.

The Hyde Collection is a historic house and museum complex with a distinguished collection of art exhibitions in five gallery spaces. Creative Futures correlates with the museum’s upcoming “Alphonse Mucha: Master of Art Nouveau” exhibit, which runs Jan. 14 though March 18.
