[farmacy] & Philanthropy to benefit SUNY Adirondack Fund
QUEENSBURY, New York (Dec. 9, 2020) — SUNY Adirondack Foundation partners with [farmacy] restobar of Glens Falls to present [farmacy] & Philanthropy, an in-home dining experience to benefit the SUNY Adirondack Fund.
Dinner-for-two meal kits are available for preorder through Dec. 15 and will be available for pickup Dec. 17 at [farmacy] restobar, located at 22 Ridge St. in Glens Falls. Those who purchase a meal kit will receive a unique link to a virtual cooking tutorial by Chef David MacIntosh of [farmacy], a 2016 SUNY Adironack culinary arts alum.
“Chef MacIntosh is an excellent representation of our culinary arts program and an example of how our alumni contribute to our local community and to their alma mater,” said Danielle Brown, director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving at SUNY Adirondack. “We are so grateful to [farmacy] and to Chef for partnering with us and finding a creative way to help our students.”
Meal kits are $100 and include ingredients for a pasta dinner for two, with homemade pasta; garlic, shallot, white wine, parsley and pecorino cheese; and a chicken thigh.
"I'm just glad I can help out the college and the community after all they've done for me," MacIntosh said.
Also included is a recipe card with a signature, holiday-themed [farmacy] cocktail, and a SUNY Adirondack pennant.
[farmacy] restobar opened in April 2019 by AJ and Christina Richards, who also own [forged] in Hudson Falls. The downtown restaurant offers experimental cuisine, a hand-selected wine list, curated craft cocktails and a delicately chosen draft list.
[farmacy] & Philanthropy is capped at 50 participants. To order a meal kit or to learn more about the fundraiser, visit https://www.sunyacc.edu/farmacydinner
