An Adirondack-North Country Veterans’ Initiative program will be held Nov. 17 at Bryan Hall (Regional Higher Education Center) on the SUNY Adirondack Queensbury campus.

The free event, which is sponsored by SUNY Adirondack and SUNY Plattsburgh at Queensbury,  will connect military veterans with resources related to career assistance, benefits, Green Zone training and health.

Buck Bryan, a Navy veteran with 38 years of flight experience, will present the keynote address. Bryan returned to college at age 45 and earned four degrees.

Presenters include Ruben Acevedo, a retired Army veteran and a veterans benefit advisor on the SUNY Adirondack campus; Tracy Arredondo, nurse administrator of Glens Falls VA Primary Care Center for the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center; Jeremy Grabbe, associate chair of psychology at SUNY Plattsburgh at Queensbury; Julia Overton-Healy, CEO of Sky Top Strategies career coaching; Karen M. Sheehan, an administrator of Behavioral Health Telehealth for the VA Medical Center; and Ryan Thomas, an Air Force veteran currently pursuing a doctorate in higher education.

The program will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
