Journeyworker: Technical Trades Management

SUNY Adirondack's Journeyworker: Technical Trades Management program offers advanced standing in building trades or advanced manufacturing to students who have already completed a journeyworker program or are enrolled in an apprenticeship. Journeyworkers couple their technical trade knowledge with business and management coursework.

Learning outcomes

  1. Develop effective written and oral communication practices.
  2. Demonstrate knowledge of legal, financial, human resource and management areas of study.
  3. Demonstrate a proficiency of knowledge in the building trades or advanced manufacturing industry. 
  4. Demonstrate proficiency of computer applications.
     

Curriculum and requirements

Focused courses in building trades or advanced manufacturing earn 30 of the 61 required credits. Students earn remaining credits through courses such as public speaking, business law, accounting, computer science, principles of business and others.

SUNY ADK's Journeyworker: Technical Trades Management prepares graduates for further education. Graduates have automatic acceptance and full-credit transfer to Rowan University's Construction Management program.
