Biography
Chandler Atkins has taught for SUNY Adirondack for more than 40 years. Chandler developed and taught the first management, entrepreneurship and organizational behavior classes on campus. He has taught more than 40 different courses for 10 different colleges. He is a serial entrepreneur, having opened more an a dozen business of which four are in operation. Chandler has served on the board of directors for eight nonprofit organizations in the community. Chandler was published on "ROI Training Evaluation with the Governor's Office of Employee Relations at the State of New York" by the ASTD press.

Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology with a dissertation on Peak Experience from United States International University, 1990; master's degree in Psychology from USIU, 1985; master's degree in Business from Babson College, 1978; bachelor's degree in Business from Babson College, 1971; associate degree in Agriculture from Stockbridge at UMASS, 1967
Hobbies and interests
Chandler enjoys afternoon rides and leading tours on his ATVs on the mountain trails at his 171-acre farm formerly owned by Veronica Lake. In the winter you can find him with a palette knife and some oil paints working on a colorful composition. He spends a month or more in Hawaii each winter to be with his six grandkids and two great-grandkids. He lives by his six-step Chandler Life Planning Model: "born, play, school, work, retire and die each day." To have a sense of wonder, create, learn, give back, relax and let go each day to renew the soul and grow for tomorrow.
