Biography

Dan Dennett is passionate about teaching and providing students the necessary skills to pursue an education and be successful in life. He offers college-credit courses in high schools related to athletic training and hands-on internships for college students related to coaching/athletic training. Dan is well established within the local area high school athletic programs and has served Section 2 as an athletic trainer for post-season sporting events and state championships for more than 25 years. 

Education

Associate degree in Health Science from Herkimer County Community College, 1985; Bachelor's degree from Old Dominion University, 1988; Master's degree in Sports Science from United States Sports Academy, 1990; Master's degree in Educational Leadership K-12 from George Mason University, 1994; NATABOC National Board Certified Athletic Trainer since 1991

Hobbies and interests

Dan resides with his youngest son, Devin. His two older children, Danielle and Johnathon, both attended SUNY Adirondack and went on to graduate from SUNY Oneonta. Dan stays busy and, if not covering sports, will often be seen cycling, swimming, running or golfing in the summer and skiing in the winter.
