Biography

Emily Goodspeed started at SUNY Adirondack as a part-time cataloging librarian in 2011. The SUNY Adirondack alumna was an intern at the library while earning an M.S.I.S. from University at Albany. As digital services librarian, she oversees behind-the-scenes work such as systems and database management. She also serves as the library liaison to the Health Sciences, Mathematics and TECS divisions. She oversees the college library's local history collection, The Hill Collection, and is club advisor for the local chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society, Upsilon Beta. 

Education

Master of Science in Information Science from University at Albany, 2008; Bachelor of Arts in English from The College of Saint Rose, 2006; Associate in Arts from SUNY Adirondack, 2004

Hobbies and interests

Outside the library, Emily enjoys spending time with her family and their dogs. She loves skiing, kayaking, hunting and just playing around the Hudson River. She recently became interested in metal detecting, which she does as often as she can with her best friend in the summer months.
