Biography
Khristeena Lute has received the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Scholarship and Creative Activity and the SUNY Adirondack President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. Her recent publications include “Katrina Trask: The Gilded Age of Philanthropy” (2023); her debut novel, "Finding Grace and Grit" (2021); “Choosing to be Artists: Women’s Networks in Evelyn Scott’s Escapade” (2021); and “Embracing Ambiguity: Navigating the Liminal Waters of Grace King’s ‘The Little Convert Girl’” (2019).
Education
Associate in Arts degree from Ohio University; Bachelor of Arts degree from Ohio University; M.Ed. from Northern Arizona University; Master of Arts in English from Austin Peay State University; Ph.D. from Middle Tennessee State University
Hobbies and interests
Khristeena lives in Porter Corners with her husband, two children, two dogs, two cats, one snake, three ducks and 15 chickens. She enjoys reading, hiking, painting and writing.
