Biography
Nancy White taught at Saint Ann's School in Brooklyn, Upward Bound Program at Southern Vermont College, Bennington College and in the graduate writing program at The College of Saint Rose. In addition to teaching at SUNY Adirondack, she is president and editor-in-chief of The Word Works, a 501(c)3 poetry press based in Washington, D.C. She has three published collections of poetry to her name, including the winner of the Washington Prize, "Sun, Moon, Salt." Her poems and reviews have appeared in Beloit Poetry Review, Feminist Review, New Letters, Ploughshares, Massachusetts Review, Rattle and many other journals.

Nancy White strives to keep her fencing in good repair and to cover as many trails on foot as possible. But mostly she reads.
