P. Kathleen McCoy
- Distinguished professor of English
- Writers Project director
"As Audre Lorde wrote, 'So long as I use my strength in the service of my vision, it makes no difference whether I am afraid.' Students struggle, but as they do, they discover their vision and their aptitudes and overcome their fears. In classes, the Writers Project and campus arts, I write with the creative writers, sing with the musicians, and appreciate the art in our gallery. I struggle with the creative process along with my students, and we emerge at the end of each semester a little humbler, wiser and more committed to contributing whatever we can to the SUNY Adirondack community."
