JED campus

In 2022, SUNY Adirondack increased its focus on student well-being and mental health by partnering with The Jed Foundation (JED).

As a JED campus, SUNY Adirondack is on a strategic journey to assess and enhance mental health and well-being initiatives to create positive, lasting change that prioritizes wellness in the campus community.

This program provides a framework for supporting student mental health, assessment tools, feedback, a strategic plan and continued support from JED.

What is JED?

The JED Foundation is a nonprofit organization that protects emotional health and prevents suicide for young adults, giving them necessary skills to thrive.

JED is a nationwide initiative designed to help colleges evaluate and strengthen their mental health, substance misuse and suicide prevention programs to provide strong mental health support systems for students.
