Learning outcomes

  1. Demonstrate a proficient knowledge of the Macintosh Operating System.
  2. Create various forms of computer graphic imagery using industry standard software.
  3. Create imagery for a commercial purpose and/or personal expression using a digital single lens reflex camera.
  4. Discuss the history of the Media Arts including styles, genres and prominent artists.
  5. Demonstrate proficiency in presenting and critiquing various forms of imagery objectively.
  6. Create a portfolio/resume for employment and/or transfer opportunities.
     

Curriculum and requirements

The history and culture behind media arts lay a foundation for advanced courses. Students then hone their chosen craft through courses and cutting-edge software and equipment in disciplines including art, design, photography, videography and communication.
