- Demonstrate a proficient knowledge of the Macintosh Operating System.
- Create various forms of computer graphic imagery using industry standard software.
- Create imagery for a commercial purpose and/or personal expression using a digital single lens reflex camera.
- Discuss the history of the Media Arts including styles, genres and prominent artists.
- Demonstrate proficiency in presenting and critiquing various forms of imagery objectively.
- Create a portfolio/resume for employment and/or transfer opportunities.
Curriculum and requirements
The history and culture behind media arts lay a foundation for advanced courses. Students then hone their chosen craft through courses and cutting-edge software and equipment in disciplines including art, design, photography, videography and communication.
