Biography

Dynia Mariano is a pastry chef who instructs baking and dining room classes. She managed multiple restaurant outlets at JB Duke Hotel, and has worked in renowned restaurants including Gramercy Tavern and Union Square Cafe. She interned at the James Beard Foundation in events management and was vice president of Special Events for the nonprofit organization Reading Empowers Inc. While in college, she competed two years in a row for sugar and chocolate sculptures. She is looking forward to expanding the baking program at SUNY Adirondack.

Education

Certificate in Pastry Arts from the Art Institute of New York City, 2005; bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from New York City College of Technology CUNY, 2012

Hobbies and interests

Dynia lives in Saratoga Springs with her husband, two cats and a German shepherd. She spends her free time playing with her dog and watching movies with her husband.
