This microcredential provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage and market or assist with management and marketing of a hotel, resort or tourism operation.
Hotel, resort and hospitality associate
These skills and competencies shall include but are not limited to developing and implementing marketing plans for their employer; knowledge of the hospitality and tourism industry’s finances and management, including integral departments within hotels, resorts and hospitality operations.
Required courses are:
- BUS 103 Principles of Marketing
- HOS 181 Principles of Hospitality & Tourism
- HOS 193 Hotel/Resort Management
- BUS 203 Social Media, Marketing & Advertising
This microcredential:
- Comprises 12 credits;
- Is able to be completed in two semesters;
- Costs $222 per credit, for a total of $2,664, plus textbooks and college fees;
- Includes two certifications in Hootsuite, a social media dashboard system;
- A Pathways Up for Success in Hospitality (PUSH) badge through METRIX, an online platform used by Warren County Employment and Training Administration for custumer service professionalism;
- Includes Narcan Training and New York State Sexual Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation Training
These credits are stackable to:
- A certificate in Hospitality
- A degree in Hospitality Management
